Price lists / Price groups

You can use the price lists to create different billing rates for different price groups, such as qualifications/activities/employee groups, etc. This allows you to create time stamps within a project with different billing rates at any time.

To activate the price lists, open the Xpert Timer configuration and activate the price lists in the "Additional Modules" area.

The next step is to set up the price lists. Please refer to the chapter "Configuration" -> Prices.

In the timestamp list

If you have stored a specific price list for an employee, all newly created timestamps will be created based on this price list. The billing rate that you have specified for the employee or the price group assigned to them will be used. However, subsequent changes can be made at any time in the timestamp list.

If you work with different price lists, billing rates, and price groups, you should display them in your time stamp area. This allows you to maintain an overview and make changes easily.

After right-clicking on the column header to display the "Price list" and "Price group" columns, you can make changes there by right-clicking on the entry. In the example above, you can see that the base price list applies to the time stamp from February 12, 2018.

In the project manager, in addition to the price lists, square brackets indicate that the price list is based on euros and is valid from January 1, 2018, to December 31, 2026.

You can select multiple entries in the timestamp list. If, for example, you want to change the billing rate for all timestamps from technician to engineer, select multiple entries with the mouse and the Shift key pressed and set the corresponding price group by right-clicking.

In order to ultimately display prices in this example, you must store a price list with a validity period from 2018 in the project (Project Properties -> Billing) or for the customer (Customer Data -> Additional). All time stamps created will then be assigned to this price list. To import the price list, please click on "Refresh" in your project manager.
