Telephony

In the configuration (menu item Edit -> Configuration), you will find the telephony settings for your workstation.

Select the line you use from the drop-down menu. To see a line in the selection here, TAPI drivers must be installed on your computer. Enter the phone number to which the Xpert-Timer system should respond. Enter your phone number WITHOUT the area code so that local calls are also recognized. Please note that each employee should enter their own number, otherwise several Xpert Timers will respond to the phone number at the same time.

You can decide what should happen when a call comes in or goes out. You can choose from the following options:

Display selection dialog

This option opens a selection dialog with the following options:

For incoming calls:

Start quick start project: This starts a project with the name "Quick start project." You can rename this project later and assign it to a customer or move the timestamp for the project to another project.

Create new contact: This function allows you to create a new contact for an existing customer.

Create new customer, contact person, and phone project: This creates a new customer, a contact person, and automatically a phone project.

For outgoing calls:

Start quick start project: This starts a project with the name "Quick start project". You can later rename this project and assign it to a customer or move the timestamp for the project to another project.

Start customer project: Start a telephony project stored with the customer.

Open customer: This opens the detailed data of the customer you are calling.

Jump to customer in customer management: The focus is set on the customer in customer management.

Create customer note: Enter a note about the customer. These are stored in the "Notes" tab in the customer details.

Start quick start project

This starts a project with the name "Quick start project." You can rename this project later and assign it to a customer or move the timestamp for the project to another project.

Start customer project

If an existing customer whose address already has a phone number stored and a telephony project has also been specified calls, this project starts automatically.

Open customer

The "Customer data" dialog box opens.

Jump to customer in customer management

The "Customer Management" dialog box opens with the focus on the customer.

Create customer note

The "Create customer note" dialog box opens. You should decide whether the telephone notes are to be stored in the customer notes in the customer file or whether they are to be created with the respective time stamp.

No action

No action is performed. You must manually start a project in Xpert-Timer or create the customer.

Start quick start project

This starts a project with the name "Quick start project." You can rename this project later and assign it to a customer or move the timestamp for the project to another project.

Create new contact

You can select a customer from your existing customers and create a new contact person in the process.

Create new customer, contact, and phone project

A new customer calls. You can create the new customer, their contact details, and the telephone project in one go.
