.Install the latest version of Xpert-Timer and connect your database (MS-SQL, Access, or MySQL).
.Download the setup file (XTInstSyncServer.exe) and run it. See the chapter "Setup procedure."
.Start the XTSyncServer (it should start automatically after setup). If you do not have the necessary rights, you will be notified. In this case, you must exit the XTSyncServer service and restart it with administrator rights.
.First, the connection between Xpert-Timer SyncServer and the Xpert-Timer database must be established. To do this, open the configuration in XTSyncServer and select the "Database" tab. Please note that the connection to an SQL database can only be established using a user name and password. It is not possible to log in using Windows authentication when using the service.
.Now open the "General" tab in Xpert-Timer SyncServer and enter the IP address of the computer on which XTSyncServer is running. Check the connection. Please note that the port you have selected must be open in the local firewall. To configure the firewall, go to the Windows Start menu -> Run -> firewall.cpl Enter Xpert-Timer SyncServer (XTWebserverService.exe) as an approved program.
.You will need the SyncServer login and password on your mobile device to connect to the XTSyncServer. The password you set here must then be entered on your mobile device to establish the connection.
.Save the settings and restart the service.
.If you connect to the database via the Internet, i.e., you do not use a local IP address in your LAN, you must forward the port on the router accordingly (e.g., via UPnP). Please note that you must allow changes via UPnP on the router (configuration on the router).
.For your information: If compression is disabled for the connection, you can send a command to the SyncServer via the browser using a URL. e.g.: http://192.168.1.24:8090/client/* (IP address:port/client/*) This command lists all clients in the database.
10. The SyncServer service is now installed. Please read the chapter "Synchronization with Android" .
