<< Click to Display Table of Contents >> Navigation: Xpert-Timer Manual > Employee management > Employee data > Employees |
Under the "Employees" tab, you can make further assignments for the new employee in the "Additional" section.

If you use the email functions in Xpert-Timer, enter your email address here. Xpert-Timer allows you to send reports or info emails at the touch of a button. It's even faster if you always send your report to the same recipient. For example, right-click on a project and select "Status report by email." The default recipient will then already be entered in your email dialog.
You can assign a security level to an employee. These security levels control the visibility of objects in Xpert-Timer. They apply to customers, projects, and documents.

|
Example |
|---|---|
An employee with the security level "Strictly confidential" can see all objects that have been created in the system. An employee with the security level "High," for example, can see all objects with the security levels "High," "Medium," "Low," and "None." All objects classified as "Very high" and "Strictly confidential" are not visible to this employee. |

There are three different login modes in Xpert-Timer:

Desktop and web |
This employee can log in to Xpert-Timer Pro as well as via the XTWeb browser interface if the XTCloud server is included in your license. |
Desktop only |
This employee can log in to Xpert-Timer Pro. |
Web only |
This employee can only log in to the system via the browser with XTWeb. |
No login |
This employee is created for administrative purposes and never logs into the system to enter data. For example, external employees who work on the project but do not log into the system themselves are recorded under this user. |
Android only |
Android-only users use their mobile device to record their time and send the data to the central server. They also never log in to the Xpert-Timer Pro system on Windows. |
Check this box if the employee is allowed to access the system via the XTAPI DLL.
Assign a cost center to your employee.
Select the appropriate price group that you want to assign to the employee from the submenu.

If you have activated work groups in your system (via the XTAdmin administration program), each employee must be assigned to a main work group. New projects created by the employee are created in this work group.

Now enter the required information in the "Working hours" and "Billing" sections.

The number of working hours per day refers to the display of the total working hours on the timeline. If the employee works longer than the number of hours specified here, the total working time appears in red on the timeline. This information is also used to display overtime and under-time in the "Arrives/Leaves" report for the respective employee.
Plannable hours per day are for information purposes only.
Billing is used to calculate internal and external costs for projects. You can specify the project hourly rate for each project. However, it is often the case that several employees work on a project, but different hourly rates are charged to the customer. For example, the engineer is charged at $90/hour and the trainee at only $40/hour. To calculate the project based on different employee costs, you must include the billing rate of the employee in the project and specify a billable hourly rate for each employee. Enter the actual imputed costs for the employee incurred by the company in the Price per unit (internal) field.
If an employee only has the "View employees" right, they will not have the "Employee management" menu item. However, they can still view their own employee data by clicking on their employee name in the lower left corner of the Project Manager.
